JAMES A. “J.A.” SANDLING JR.
YOUNGSVILLE - James Alfred “J.A.” Sandling Jr., 77, died Wednesday morning, April 5, 2006 in an automobile accident. Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 7, at Woodland Baptist Church, with Dr. Tommy Seedorf and the Rev. Clyde Waiden Jr. officiating. Entombment followed in Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton, with full Masonic rites.

He was the son of the late Jimmy and Marguerite Davis Sandling. He graduated from Youngsville High School. Sandling and his wife, Alta, were the owners and operators of Sandling Funeral Home in Franklinton. He was a member of Granville Masonic Lodge for 50 years and the American Legion Post #52.

Surviving: his wife, Alta Debnam Sandling; sons, Al Sandling of Youngsville, Nat (Debra) Sandling of Youngsville; and five grandchildren.

Arrangements handled by Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg.
