WILLIAM A. “AL” WILLIAMS
WENDELL - William Alton “Al” Williams, 67, did Monday, Nov. 1, 2010. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 3, at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service chapel in Knightdale. Burial followed in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon.

He was born in Warren County to the late William Thomas “Buck” Williams and Belle Stegall Williams. He graduated from Norlina High School, attended NCSU and served in Naval Intelligence in the U.S. Navy. He retired from AT&T after 33 years of service. He was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church.

Surviving: wife, Carol Mullen Williams; son, Travis L. Williams (Rebekah) of Raleigh; sisters, Mary Alice W. Carter (Clifton) of Norlina and Linda Gayle W. Carter (Joe) of Louisburg; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zebulon Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 366, Zebulon, NC 27597 or Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
