WALLACE O. MITCHINER
July 5, 1947 – December 5, 2010
FRANKLINTON - Wallace Oliver Mitchiner, 63, of Franklinton, NC passed away at his home December 5, 2010.  Wallace was a life-long resident of the Mitchiner’s Cross Roads community in Franklin County.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Watson Mitchiner; his mother, Virginia Perry Mitchiner; and his brother, David W. Mitchiner, Jr.

Surviving are his guardians, Ann and Steve Ijames of Franklinton; his maternal aunts, Nell P. Beasley of Louisburg and Linda P. Jones of Smithfield; and numerous cousins and, on his father’s side, cousins Sue Stephenson of Raleigh, Patricia S. Koppies of Woodbury, New York, and Reuben Cannady of Franklinton.

Special remembrances to Latasha Wilder and the care-givers from All Care Senior Services and Amedisys Hospice who provided nurturing care to him since the death of his father.

There was a funeral service on Tuesday, December 7, 2010, with a 1:00 p.m. visitation and a 2:00 p.m. service at Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church, Franklinton, NC. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Perry’s Chapel Baptist Church, 894 Perry’s Chapel Church Rd, Franklinton, NC 27525 or to Amedisys Hospice, 3320 US Hwy# 1, Suite B, Franklinton, NC 27525.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg.
