JOHN W. DAVIDSON
TOWNSVILLE - John W. Davidson (B.T. Buddy Wilson Jr.) died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, Feb. 5) at Rock Spring Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary Brummitt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

Born in Wake Forest, he was the son of the late Berlin “B.T.” Wilson and Clara Pearce Wilson. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired purchasing manager at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Surviving: wife, Merle Fish Davidson; stepchildren, Harry Ludeman (Barbara) of Gainesville, Va., Susan Jan Zarzar (Nick) of Hillsborough; sisters, Grace Patterson of Epsom, Marie Wright (Renchor) of Franklinton, Mary Carter (Phil) of Wake Forest, and Vickie Carrol (Dwight) of Raleigh; and five grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to MMIA, Military Missions in Action, at 411-B North Judd Parkway, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526 in memory of John Davidson.

Arrangements are by J.M. White Funeral Home.
