WILLARD E. BAILEY
WAKE FOREST - Willard Elisha Bailey, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011. A memorial service honoring his life was held at Wake Forest United Methodist Church on Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Born the son of Dalmon Thurman and Mary Leone Grant Bailey, he was raised in the Corbett Hatcher community of Johnston County. He served his country for 20 years before retiring from the U. S. Air Force. He spent the last 40 years of his life in Wake Forest.

Surviving: wife, Minnie Ruth Barefoot Bailey; daughter, Vanessa Gordon (Randall) of Durham; sons, Michael Bailey (Bettie) of Holly Springs, David Bailey (Debbie) of Hendersonville, Craig Bailey (Susan) of Youngsville; sisters, Mary Grant B. Williams of Raleigh and Helen B. Webb of Selma; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wake Forest United Methodist Church Building Fund, 905 South Main Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587, or to your local Hospice organization.
