ZEBULON - Ellen Dawn Walston Brooks, 81, died at Guardian Care of Zebulon. A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 18) in the chapel of Munden Funeral home, Morehead City. Inurnment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park, Highway 24, Morehead City.

Surviving: son, John Brooks of Birmingham, Ala.; daughters, Ginger B. Aben of Edgewater, Md., Donna B. Bryant (Bill) of Zebulon, and Laura B. Smith of Tall Timbers, Md.; brothers, Don Walston of Swansboro and Edgar Walston of Morehead City; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Paul Brooks.

Local arrangements in Wake County by L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, Knightdale.
