SARAH P. HAMM
HENDERSON - Sarah Pearce Hamm, age 73, a resident of 216 Green Street, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Maria Parham Medical Center. Born in Vance County on February 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Simon Pearce and Lydia Pope Pearce. She was a former employee of Americal.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by  the Rev. Gary Harper. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bobby Hamm of the home; one daughter, Rene H. Sams and husband, Britt of Henderson, and granddaughter, Harli Sams; two sisters, Mary P. Swanson and husband, Robert of Louisburg, and Alice P. Newton and husband, Johnnie of Henderson; two nieces, Rita Smith and Deborah Murphy; and one nephew, Dewey Hamm, Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Wiley Pearce and Charlie Pearce; and one niece, Tanya H. Crutcher.

The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at J. M. White Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home at 216 Green Street.
