FRANKLINTON - Katherine Inez Lanier, 70, of Franklinton, a loving wife and devoted mother, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She is the wife of the late James Bruce Lanier and is survived by her children: daughter, Norma Evans and husband, Craig of Franklinton; sons, Lawrence Lanier of Franklinton, Bruce Lanier and wife, Pat of Wake Forest; sister, Alma Baker of Knightdale; and grandchildren, Teresa Lanier, Kristen Lanier and Shelby Evans.
A private service will be held for the family, but friends were received at the family home, on Thursday, July 14th.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or you may donate online at www.hospiceofwake.org.
