ONZA LEE BLACKLEY
FRANKLINTON - Onza Lee Blackley, 85, died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 in a Henderson nursing facility. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church cemetery, with the Rev. Carl Hunter officiating.

Born in Franklin County, he was the son of the late James William Blackley and Lela Preddy Blackley. He was retired from Burlington Industries, Franklinton plant. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Blackley was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Pearce Blackley.

Surviving: daughters, Donna Moore, Elaine Appleford and Pamela Holloway, all of Franklinton, and Joan Moses of Oxford; six grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight (Wednesday, April 12) at Franklin Funeral Service and Cremation, 504 E. Mason St., Franklinton.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Building Fund, 1245 Mt. Olivet Church Road, Franklinton, NC 27525.
