MARGARET P. REVELLE
MURFREESBORO -Margaret Person Revelle, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011 at her home. Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 30, at Murfreesboro Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Lee Canipe and the Rev. Thomas Caulkins. A graveside service followed in Riverside Cemetery.

She was a native of Louisburg, the daughter of the late Matthew M. Person Sr. and Mary Burt Harrison Person. After graduating from East Carolina University, she moved to Murfreesboro in 1946 to teach high school Home Economics.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Revelle Jr.

Surviving: sons, Charles L. III “Chuck” (Bonnie) of Murfreesboro, Henry (Sara) of Winton; daughters, Meg (David) Chapin of Raleigh, Emily (Van) Beck of Davidson; 10 grandchildren; four nephews and one niece.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Murfreesboro Baptist Church, P. O. Box 124, Murfreesboro, NC 27855; Chowan University, One University Place, Murfreesboro, NC 27855, or Ridgecroft School, P. O. Box 1008, Ahoskie, NC 27910.
