LCPL. EVAN A. TUCKER
FRANKLINTON - Lance Corporal Evan Alexander Tucker, 22, of Franklinton, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Durham County and was a 2008 graduate of Franklinton High School. Evan was a Tank Crewman with the United States Marine Corps Reserve, Company F, 4th Tank Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC.  In addition to serving his country, Evan enjoyed working as a tower climber for Dish Technologies, Inc.  He was an avid outdoorsman, pursuing a degree in Outdoor Leadership and Wilderness EMT from Southwestern Community College in Sylva, NC.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon, November 3, 2011, at Franklinton Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Donald Harrell officiating.

Evan is survived by his mother, Candace Jill Senter of Franklinton; sister, Alana Tucker of Franklinton; aunts and uncles, Larry and Levoie Senter of Franklinton, Bert and Sheryl Senter of Smithfield, VA, Linda and Doug Hudgins of Henderson, Susan Piper of Henderson, Bruce and Kim Tucker of Kittrell, and many dearly loved cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Douglas Tucker, and an aunt, Bonnie Senter-Camarda.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina, 2880 Slater Road, Suite 105, Morrisville, NC  27560.
