W. CLYDE DANIELS
March 21, 1926 – March 13, 2012

LOUISBURG – William Clyde Daniels, 85, of Louisburg, passed away Tuesday morning.

Clyde was a son of the late Herman Edward Daniels and Elizabeth Barnes Daniels Sullivan. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He retired after 48 years of being a dairy farmer and served on many boards in the dairy industry. He was a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Clyde was an outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish on his farm.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Rock Spring Baptist Church with the Rev. Melton Tyson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley C. Daniels; son and daughter-in-law, Cameron and Rita Daniels; daughters and son-in-law, Cornelia D. and Frank Eatman, all of Louisburg, Veronica Frye of Sophia, NC; sisters and brother-in-law, Jacquelin Hudson of Estacada, OR, Joyce Poole of Clayton, Betty and Marsh Marshall of Chatham, VA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Cathy Daniels, Mack and Pat Daniels, Keith and Alex Daniels, all of Clayton, Randy Daniels of Smithfield; grandchildren, Michelle Moody and husband, Micky, William Eatman, John Daniels, Marc Daniels and wife, Jennifer, Jed Frye and wife, Courtney, Jesse Frye and wife, Amy Lou; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rock Spring Baptist Church, Principal Reduction Fund, 34 Rock Spring Church Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family will receive friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
