YOUNGSVILLE —Louie Levi Salazar, 92, died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at home. A celebration service will be held Saturday, March 31, at 11 a.m. at Grace Assembly of God, 2405 Wait Avenue, Wake Forest. A second service and burial will be held in San Jose, Calif.
He was born in Dulce, NM to the late Abel Salazar and Amelia Archuleta Salazar Ruybalid. He served in World War II with the 43rd General Hospital in France, Italy and North Africa and was a graduate of Isleta Bible College.
Surviving: wife, Dora Salazar; children, Louie Salazar (Kathryn), Lila Hedlund (Terry), Lori Mullen (Dave) and Abel Salazar (Shelly); siblings, Eva Vasquez, Lila Ruybalid and Richard Ruybalid; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
