MACON D. HEDGEPETH
HENDERSON - Macon D. Hedgepeth, 88, of Kittrell, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012. A graveside service was held Friday, March 30, at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton, conducted by the Rev. Anita James-Carnes.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Ethel McKeithan Hedgepeth and Joseph Alexander Hedgepeth.

He was a graduate of Franklinton High School, a retired farmer and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Surviving: wife, Ethel Arrington Hedgepeth; daughter, Rachel Hedge-peth Gordon (Charles) of Kittrell; brother, Gilbert Odell Hedgepeth of Kittrell; one nephew; a great-niece; three great-great-nieces; and two great-great-nephews.
