HAROLD C. FOSTER
LOUISBURG - Harold C. Foster, 80, of Louisburg, died peacefully Thursday morning, April 12, 2012 at his home. He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Estelle Eaves Foster and Sidney B. Foster. He dedicated his life to serving the people of Louisburg as an employee of the Town, first as a lineman and retiring as Superintendent of Public Works after 30 years of dedicated service. Mr. Foster served as a town council member for 8 years and retired as Maintenance Supervisor with Louisburg College after 14 years. He was also a member of the Louisburg Moose Lodge.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2012 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Entombment will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Daphene H. Foster; daughters, Evon F. Arnold (Nelson), of  Louisburg, Sylvia L. Clark (Rick), of Raleigh; son, Michael Edwards Foster of Louisburg; sisters, Helen Lancaster of Raleigh, Hilda Moore and Ann Bartholomew (R.A.) of Henderson, Uldine Duckworth (Lewis) of Greensboro; grandchildren: Misty Brown (John), Joey Arnold (Dawn), Heather Clark, Corey Foster (Madison), and Dylan Clark; great-granddaughter, Eva Brown, and unborn great-grandson, John Joseph Brown, expected arrival April 23rd. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ben Foster. Mr. Foster loved many animals during his life, most recently, his cat, Andy.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 1242 Dabney Drive, Henderson, NC 27536 or to SPCA of Franklin County, 105 Mill Creek Drive, Youngsville NC 27596.

Friends visited with the family from 6:30-8:00 Friday evening, April 13, 2012 at Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587 (919-556-5811) and other times at the home.
