WILLIAM “BILL” HICKS
YOUNGSVILLE - William W. “Bill” Hicks, 72, died Thursday, June 21, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at Landmark Baptist Church, with the Rev. Craig Currin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Warren County, son of the late Mabel Moore Hicks and Lonnie Boyd Hicks. He retired as a heavy equipment operator with S.T. Wooten in 2008.

Surviving: wife, Christine Daniel Hicks; daughters, Windy Read (Chris) of Youngsville, Debbie Cottrell of Stem, Christie Patterson (Daniel) of Nelson, Va.; brother, Arthur Hicks (Kathy) of Raleigh; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Marie H. Ollis and Joyce H. Norwood; brothers, Frank E. Boyd E., Lonnie Junior, Charles Wayne, Thomas O. and Calvin Hicks Jr.
