BETTIE B. KENNEDY
LOUISBURG - Bettie Ruth Bailey Kennedy, 90, of Louisburg died Saturday, December 24, 2006, in Franklin Regional Medical Center, Louisburg. Born November 30, 1916, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Whitley Kennedy; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Ernest (Mary Lou Harris) Bailey; sisters, Eileen Bailey, Beulah Cooley and Christine Keith; brothers, E. Norris Bailey and Reece Bailey.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from Mount Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Grace K. Perdue and husband Kenneth, Fay K. Champion and husband Kurtis, all of Louisburg; sister, Jean B. Morgan of Raleigh; brothers, Ormond Bailey of Raleigh and Raymond Bailey of Louisburg; grandchildren, Kent Perdue, Karen Wilson and Kevin and Kip Champion; great-grandchildren, Heather Perdue, Kailey Wilson, Brittany Wood, Kyle and Camren Champion; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall at the church.

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to: Mount Zion Baptist Church Building Fund, 111 Laurel Mill/Centerville Road, Louisburg, N. C. 27549.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funerals and Cremations, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC.
