BAXTER B. RICHARDS
TAMPA, Fla. - Baxter Buck Richards, 90, formerly of Zebulon, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, Dec. 30) at Union Chapel Baptist Church, 237 Zebulon Road. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

He was born in Wake County to the late Buck Baxter Richards and Nellie Robertson Richards. He was a retired commercial fisherman and business owner.

Surviving: wife, Lola Ray Richards of Tampa, Fla.; son, Bruce Allan Richards (Janet) of Tampa, Fla.; brothers, Clifford Richards of Edinburg, Va., Donald Richards and Ronald Lee Richards, both of Zebulon; sisters, Estelle Jones of Louisburg, Arie Jane Horton of Bunn, Marcia Leffingwell of Zebulon, Nikitia Beddingfield of Littleton, and Vadie McLamb of Autryville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Woodrow and Fernie Richards.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund, 2437 Zebulon Road, Zebulon, NC 27597.
