PARRY G. PACE
HENDERSON-Parry Garland “P.G.” Pace, age 75, a resident of 815 Countrywood Lane, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at Maria Parham Medical Center.  Born in Franklin County on July 30, 1937, he was the son of the late Robert William Pace and Elsie Kearney Pace.  He was a retired Project Manager for Hill Gray / 7.

He was member of his beloved Tungsten Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for 30 years.  He enjoyed life, lived it to its fullest, loved traveling and traveled the world extensively. His greatest joy came from doing for others and pampering his wife.  He loved his church and his church family. He was very much loved by all and will be missed.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 6:00 PM at Tungsten Baptist Church by the Rev. Sam Brewer and Joe Don Cooper. 

He is leaving behind his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley Medlin Pace; his sister, Lynn Bearfoot of Franklinton; many nieces and nephews; his sisters-in-law Dorothy Abbott-Thomas, Marlene (Sweetheart) Wood, and Virginia (Boodie) Spencer; and many special people he loved as sons, daughters, and grandchildren: Larry Harris, Anthony Kidd, Joe Don Cooper, Tony Abbott, Amanda Abbott Mixon, Gwen Blackwell Harris, Gina Beam Kidd, Lynn Cooper, Tammy Diaz, Brooks, and Allie Mixon, Justin and Jessica Harris, and Logan and Ainslee Kidd; his best friends Lee Beam, Sam Brewer, also his pastor of 34 years, and Gregg Hill, his employer for 23 years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the pride and joy of his life, his son Mike; and his brothers, Rufus Pace and R.W. Pace.

Serving as active pall bearers will be Zaye Brewer, Rusty Pace, Steve Pace, Randy Pace, Tony Abbott, Joe Don Cooper, Ryan Stovall, and Kendall Loving.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home.  At other times they received friends at the home at 815 Countrywood Lane on Kerr Lake.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the House Of Fate, c/o Tungsten Baptist Church, P.O. Box 703, Henderson, NC  27536.
