RUDOLPH L. BLAKE
WAKE FOREST - Rudolph Leon Blake, 82, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 19) at Glen Royal Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Faile officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Robeson County, the son of the late Lonnie and Annie Blake and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving in Korea. He was a retired foreman with Athey Products.

Surviving: wife, Louise Blake; sons, Danny Blake (Janet) of Wake Forest and Jerry Blake (Sonja) of Youngsville; daughter, Janie Prewer of Wake Forest; sisters, Dora Oliver of Plymouth and Barbara Jean Bullock (Thomas) of Bear Grass; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert “Runt” Blake, Lawrence “Shorty” Blake and Billy Blake; and a sister, Betty Wiggins.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Glen Royal Baptist Church, 731 Elizabeth Avenue, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Friends may visit with the family at the church one hour prior to the service.
