HARLOW A. PEARCE
LOUISBURG - Harlow Akie Pearce, 77, died at UNC Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 13) at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. Burial will be in the Rolesville Baptist Church cemetery.

He was born in Wake County to the late Joseph Akie Pearce and Nellie Lee Price Pearce. He was a welder with Stone Heavy Vehicles.

Surviving: daughter, Nellie P. Smith (Michael) of Wendell; brother, Daniel Pearce of Randelman; sisters, Willie Mae Parrish of Zebulon, Ruth Jernigan of Wake Forest, Patricia Muir of Connecticut, and Bonnie Cash of Florida; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Hodge Pearce, and sons, Charles William Pearce and David Earl Pearce.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alpha and Omega Home, 302 Parker Heath Road, Pink Hill, NC 28572.
