JOYCE S. ANDERSON
LOUISBURG - Joyce Strickland Wynne Anderson, 82, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Franklin Oaks Nursing Center. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.  A graveside service honoring her life will follow at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Henry Stamper officiating. 

She was born at home in Franklin County to Lee and Myra Shearin Strickland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sons, David and Brooks Wynne; her husband, Charles “Andy” Anderson; her sister, Maxine Lafater Murray; and her brother, Earl Strickland.

Surviving: three children, Dianne Drew (Ed) of Daytona Beach, Fla., Michael Wynne (Kim) of Ashland, Va., and Myra Wood (Ronnie) of Louisburg; eight grandchildren; and one great- grandchild; one nephew and three nieces.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to North Carolina Animal Alliance, P.O. Box 655, Bunn, NC  27508 or to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC  27607.
