DOROTHY M. THARRINGTON
LOUISBURG - Dorothy Marie Tharrington, 76, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Britthaven Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Jan. 28, at 3 p.m. in the J.M. White Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Blake officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County on Aug. 8, 1930, the daughter of the late Joseph Roy and Essie Faulkner Tharrington. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Grady Tharrington, Bryant Tharrington, Stewart Tharrington, Ruffin Tharrington and Charlie Tharrington, and two sisters, Maggie Lee Griffin and Mary Glen Tharrington.

Survivors include five sons, Elton Tharrington, Brennan Tharrington, Adrian Tharrington and Sherwood Tharrington, all of Louisburg, and Acey Tharrington of Chapel Hill; her children’s father, Ernest Pernell of Louisburg; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends today (Saturday, Jan. 27) from 7-8:30 p.m. at the J.M. White Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Brennan and Connie Tharrington, 2765 Person Road, Louisburg.
