LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Roosevelt “Bell” Kearney, 83, who died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Surviving: daughters, Dorothy Kearney Bass and Eliza Hawkins, both of Raleigh, Earnestine Fogg of Franklinton and Francine Williams of Gulfport, Miss.; sons, Clayton Kearney, Walter Kearney, Calvin Kearney, all of Louisburg, Nelson Harris of Burgaw and Kenneth Harris of Spring Hope; stepson, Donald Harris of Spring Hope; sisters, Dorothy Davis of Petersburg, Va. and Pearl Johnson of Newark, N.J.; brothers, Robert Kearney of Louisburg and Elmus Kearney of Newark, N.J.; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Wake services will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
