PLAINFIELD, N.J. —Ernest Mickey Kearney, 78, died Monday, July 21, 2014 at Arista Care at Norwood Terrace in Plainfield, N. J. Services were held Thursday, July 24, at Memorial Funeral Home in Fanwood, N.J. Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains, N. J.
He was born in Louisburg and graduated from Franklin County Training School. He was a business partner in New Jersey for many years and later employed at and retired from the North Plainfield Board of Education.
He was predeceased by his parents, James Burnice and Della Crews Kearney; a brother, Carl E. Kearney; and a sister, Clementine B. Kearney.
Surviving: brother, Burnice T. Kearney (Althea); four nephews; six great-nephews; and a host of cousins.
