HERMAN C. KEMP (Jan. 20, 1902 – March 11, 2007)
LOUISBURG – Herman Clare Kemp, 105, of Louisburg, died Sunday night.

Mr. Kemp was a son of the late Irene Terrell and Edwin Able Kemp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara G. Kemp; daughter, Jean K. Looper; and his son, H.C. “Red” Kemp.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Reggie Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mr. Kemp is survived by his daughter, Hazel K. Collier; sister, Edith K. Frisbie; brother, T. T. Kemp and wife Helen, all of Louisburg; grandchildren, Darrell Collier and wife Rachel of Louisburg; Joy L. Bogler and husband Daniel of Fort Polk, LA; Susan M. Roberts of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Philip Bogler and Carolyn Bogler, Jerry Dickerson, Jr. and David Dickerson; great-great-grandchildren, Caleb Dickerson and Olivia Dickerson.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Louisburg Baptist Church, P.O. Box 730, Louisburg, NC 27549.

The family received friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Strickland Funeral Home, 103 W. Franklin St., Louisburg.
