FLORENE MURRAY JONES
Florene Murray Jones, 70, of 4012 Memory Lane, Raleigh, died Tuesday morning at Rex Health Care. She was born September 9, 1936 in Franklin County and was the daughter of the late Sidney Morris Murray and Bertha Smith Murray. She was preceded in death by brothers Cleamon Faulkner and Sidney Morris Murray Jr., and a sister, Nellie Ayscue.

Mrs. Jones was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Cary Police Family Support Group, and Past President of the Cabane 620 Department of North Carolina. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 17th, at St. James United Methodist Church on St. James Church Road, Raleigh.

She is survived by: husband, Colon Deward Jones Sr.; sons and daughter-in-law, Colon Deward Jones Jr. and wife, Sharon of Kinston and Maurice Jenkins Jones of Raleigh; daughter and son-in-law, Marshae Jones Williams and husband, Michael of Raleigh; brother, Ralph Faulkner of Raleigh; and 4 grandchildren.

Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests contributions may be made to the following: Nurse’s Training Scholarship Fund: Cabane 620, 3919 Butler Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27604

The family will receive friends 11:00 AM Saturday at St. James United Methodist Church and other times at the Williams Residence at 4512 Deer Stream Lane, Raleigh.

The family is being served by Casey Funeral Home in Princeton, NC.
