JEROME TAYLOR FAULKNER

OXFORD-GRANVILLE CO. - Jerome Taylor Faulkner, 73, a longtime resident of Granville County, passed away Thursday January 1, 2015 at his home alongside his wife Dora Boyd Faulkner.

A native of Franklin Co., he was the son of the late Nathaniel Taylor Faulkner and Lucille Hoyle Faulkner. He was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and usher. He was a founding member of the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department, serving as chief and President of the Board of Directors. He was an electrician by trade and worked at various places in the community.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 10, 2015 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by the Rev. Johnny Richards, Rev. Glenn Blackwell and Rev. Robert Blackwell. Burial will be in Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Surviving are two sons, Jerome T. Faulkner Jr. (Lela) and their children Heather Faulkner, Jake Faulkner, Mackenzie Beasley and Chason Beasley all of Newton Grove, Ricky Faulkner (Genie) and their children, Riggan and John Allen Faulkner, all of Louisburg.

Creek Rd., Oxford, NC 27565 or to Vance-Granville Community College Endowment Fund, Jerome and Dora Faulkner Memorial Scholarship, PO Box 917, Henderson, NC 27537 or Independent Animal Rescue, PO Box 14232, Durham, NC 27709-4232.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, January 9, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford.
