THOMAS E. HUTCHISON

LOUISBURG - Thomas Edward Hutchison, 87, died Monday afternoon, Jan. 26, 2015. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Carmel U.M.C. in Henderson. The family will receive friends 12:30 - 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

He was a son of the late Joe and Nannie Hutchison. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Hutchison. He was a Navy veteran of W.W. II and then served in the Army during the Korean War. He then went on to be a pilot and aircraft mechanic.

Surviving: wife, Shirley F. Hutchison; daughter, Suzen (Stephen) McCann of Cary; stepdaughter, Rachel Hage of Nashville, TN; sons, Joe T. Hutchison; John (Laura) Hutchison, all of Raleigh; Michael (Kathy) Hutchison of Youngsville; sisters, Irene Swinson of Greensboro, Joe Ann Rosin of Cincinnati, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Carmel U.M.C., Building Fund, P.O. Box 3167, Henderson, NC 27536.
