CLAUDE T. MOODY
March 27 1932 - April 6, 2015

LOUISBURG - Claude Thomas Moody, 83, of Louisburg, died Monday afternoon at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Claude was a son of Benjamin and Lillie Pulley Moody. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Liza D. Phelps; sisters, Rachel M. Medlin, Dorothy M. Jackson, and Ruth M. Bagley; brothers, R.C. Moody, Lewis Moody, and Frank Moody. Claude was employed as a Filter Plant Operator with Burlington Industries for over 33 years. He was awarded several certificates for plant improvement ideas. He was a dedicated employee, receiving several perfect attendance awards.

A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral.

Claude is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Frances Cash Moody; daughter, Terri M. Phelps; sons and daughter-in-law, Greg T. Moody and fiancé, Jeanie Hall; Micky W. and Michelle Moody, all of Louisburg; sister, Mary M. Barber of Raleigh; grandchildren, Paige P. Hayes (Ben); Erica M. King (Ricky); Erin M. Perry (Matt); Emily M. Shearin (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Ember Moody, Lilly Perry, Preslee King, Foster King, and Haven Shearin.
