MORRIS "SCRAP" HAILEY

YOUNGSVILLE- Morris "Scrap" Hailey, 88, died Thursday afternoon, July 9, 2015 at the William M. Dunlap Center for Caring. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, July 12, at Youngsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Bill Haley officiating. Burial was in the Youngsville Cemetery with military honors.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Nehemiah Coleman Hailey and Sarah Brogden Hailey. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Youngsville Baptist Church.

Surviving: wife, Hazel Burnette Hailey; son, Randy Morris Hailey of Raleigh; brother, Willard Haley (Leola) of Rolesville; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mattie Wall, Dulcie Dickerson and Frances Eddins, and by his brothers, Norris Hailey, John Hailey, Bubba Hailey and Joe Hailey.

Memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
