LOUISBURG - John Pitts Rumph Jr., 61, died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 30, 2015 at his home. Per John's wishes, there will be no service.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Pitts Rumph, Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and was a licensed general contractor.

Surviving: wife, Debbie Rumph; mother, Marjorie Townsend of Cartersville, Ga.; daughter, April (Anthony) Combs of Sylacauga, Ala.; step-daughters, Jennifer (Robert) Griffin of Bunn, Sarah (Blair) Thomas of Youngsville; stepson, Brandon (Marybeth) Neville of Youngsville; sisters, Sheila Leese and Diana Durden, both of Cartersville, Ga.; brothers, Robert (Sherry) Rumph of Dallas, Ga., and Kenneth Rumph of Cartersville, Ga.; and seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Transitions Life Care Hospice, 250 Hospice Cr., Raleigh, NC 27607.
