HATTIE MAE CANNADY

YOUNGSVILLE --Hattie Mae Cannady, 82, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015 at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisburg. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 17, at Union Grove Baptist Church, Youngsville, with Brother Darryl G. Cannady officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.

She was born to the late Carlton and Mary Perry and was educated in the Franklin County Public School System. She retired from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals of Raleigh. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church where she served in various capacities.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death were her husband, Deacon George Cannady Jr., and a son, Michael D. Cannady.

Surviving: son, Darryl Cannady (Rita) of Charlotte; sisters, Margaret Kearney of Irving, N.J., Katie Murray of Youngsville and Gwendolyn Holden of Franklinton; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
