ALVA WIGGINS PARRISH

HIGH SPRINGS, FL - Alva Wiggins Parrish, beloved wife of 67 years of George W. Parrish, went to be with the Lord November 16, 2015, at her home in High Springs, FL. Alva was born in Louisburg, NC, on March 11, 1931, to R.W. and Eva Wiggins. Alva deeply loved her family, horse racing, Nascar and shopping.

She is survived by her children; Debbie (Reggie) Summey of Cherryville, NC and G. W. (Karen) Parrish of High Springs, FL; five grandchildren, Courtney (Brent) Greene, Eva (Tad) Tillman, Justin Parrish, Kristen (Bobby) Fogarty and Dylan Parrish; and five great-grandchildren, Elliott and Megan Greene, Tanner and Hallie Tillman, and Lane Fogarty, all of whom brought joy to her life. She is also survived by her brother, James Wiggins, and sister, Margaret Strickland, both of Louisburg, NC.

Receiving of family and friends will be Saturday, November 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, Louisburg, NC, with services at 2:00. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
