John “Jack” Lawrence Theriault, Jr. of Wilmington, formerly of Raleigh, Edenton and Louisburg, died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at his home at 2925 Newkirk Avenue, Wilmington, surrounded by his loving family.

Jack was a graduate of Kimball Union Academy of Meriden, New Hampshire, and Colgate University of Hamilton, New York with a degree in Industrial Psychology. He served in the U.S Army Air Corps during WWII, and was a member of Phi Delta Fraternity.

He was Vice President of Marketing with Morganite, Inc. of Dunn, NC when he coordinated the company move from Long Island, NY to North Carolina. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marian Brenda of the home, and four children: Alison T. Becker of Charlotte, Pamela T. Hardee and her husband Jon Hardee of Apex, Jay Theriault and his wife Ruth Hjelmgren of St. Paul, MN., and Jeff Theriault of Wilmington. He will also be missed by his eight “perfectly wonderful” grandchildren: Jeremy Becker of Charlotte, Jennifer Becker of Beaufort, NC, Victoria Becker (Brian Keller) of Charlotte, Drew Becker of Boone, Jocelin Searles (Paul) of Fuquay-Varina, Jedidiah Poston of Apex and Oskar and Joanna Theriault of St. Paul, MN; three great - grandchildren round out the survivors: Dylan James Becker of Sussex, England, Lillian Grace Keller of Charlotte, and Lucas Everett Searles of Fuquay-Varina.

Jack’s body is being donated to science in hopes that research will somehow find a cure for Cancer. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
