E. K. “ZEKE” JONES
LOUISBURG - Ellsworth Kaye “Zeke” Jones of Lake Royale passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, after a courageous battle with Lymphoma.

Zeke was born on January 14, 1930 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Jones Mules and Frederick Mules of St. Joseph. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Martha North Jones; son, Fred Jones and wife Sue of Franklin County; daughter Kay Jones of Charlotte; stepsons, Chuck North and wife Christine of Raleigh, Dale North and wife Lisa of New Hill, Jeff North and wife Kelly of Lake Royale; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; and sister Marillyn Manuel.

Zeke was a Construction Estimator, retired from Clancy & Theys. He was involved for many years with the PCEA. He was also a Mason, a Shriner, a Boy Scout Leader, and involved with many other community organizations.

A private memorial gathering to celebrate Zeke’s life was held on Friday, April 27th, at the home.
