RUTH T. AYSCUE

HENDERSON - Ruth Thompson Ayscue, 92, of the Vicksboro Community, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m., at Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Seth Miller, Rev. Ralph McGowan, and Rev. Steve Loftis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Thomas and Mary Ayscue Thompson. She was the widow of Oscar Lee Ayscue. She was a homemaker and a member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving; daughter, Sandra A. Beasley (Sammy) of Louisburg; a son, Jerry L. Ayscue (Carolyn) of Henderson; a sister, Frances Choplin (Duke) of Norlina; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Harris and Mary Moseley, and three brothers, Eddie Thompson Jr., Jack Thompson, and Roy Thompson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, 2493 U.S. Highway 401, Warrenton, N.C. 27589 or to Amedisys Hospice Care, 3320 US 1 Highway, Franklinton, NC 27525.

Arrangements are by Flowers Funeral Home, Henderson.
