EDDIE JEAN WIGGINS REAVIS

ROCKY MOUNT - EDDIE JEAN WIGGINS REAVIS, 73, was born March 9, 1943 in Henderson NC and went to be with her heavenly father January 27, 2017. She was married to her husband, Reverend Jimmy Reavis, for over 55 years. She served with her beloved husband for over 30 years in the United Methodist Church of the North Carolina United Methodist Conference and was a member of Sandy Cross United Methodist Church.

After a long battle of over 20 years with cancer, to the very end, her faith, hope, courage, and smile never wavered. She will always be remembered for her quietness and meekness and her fearless approach to life in her desire to help others. She will also be remembered as a gracious wife of her husband. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart.

Surviving are her three sons, Michael Reavis of Oxford and wife, Linda, Mark Reavis of Castalia and wife, Jamie, and Craig Reavis of Rocky Mount; ten grandchildren, Tyler, Josh, Seth; Bryson, Laney, Collin, (mother Jamie Spain), River-Lace, Legend; Ethan and Brady; one sister Betty Joyce Hight of Fayetteville; four nephews, Keith, Kevin, Tommy and Matt; three nieces, Kathy, Kim and Stephanie.

Eddie Jean's parents, Robert and Ruth Wiggins; one brother, Robert Wiggins, Jr., and one granddaughter, Lindsey Elizabeth Reavis, preceded her in death.

The funeral service will be at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, January 31, with visitation afterwards at the Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville, NC and other times at the home. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 1, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Henderson, NC. Rev. Wayne Clark and Rev. Bob Rose will be officiating the service.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash Health Care or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
