LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Alberta "Peter" Strickland Alston, 76, who died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m. at Cedar Rock Baptist Church in Castalia, with the Rev. Sylvester White officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Rock Church cemetery.

Surviving: husband, David Lee Alston of the home; daughters, Elnora Henry (James) of Ivanhoe, NC, Phyllis Summers (Howard) of Goldsboro, Debolyn Ragland (Leon), Ethel Bryant (James), Carla Powell (Michael) and Albertina Alston, all of Louisburg; four sons, Richard Alston (Bonita) of Columbus, SC, Rodney Alston (Tracy) of Nashville, Gary Alston (Teresa) of Conyers, Ga., Toney Alston (Twanetta) of the home; sisters, Melissa Dean and Joanne Battle, both of Louisburg; brothers, Roma Strickland (Delois) of Ft. Washington, Md., John Thomas Strickland of Baltimore, Md., Willie Strickland (Beulah) of Youngsville, Morris Strickland of High Point, Charles Strickland (Jewel) of Deerpark, N.Y., Arthur Strickland (Queenie) and Baby Ray Strickland, both of Louisburg, and Antonio Bell of Nashville.

Open visitation will be Wednesday from 3 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
