RONNIE L. FERGERSON

LOUISBURG - Ronnie Luke Fergerson, 72, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Calvary's Cross Baptist Church, 1807 NC 98 Hwy. W, Louisburg, and at other times at the home, 790 Strickland Road, Louisburg.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary's Cross Baptist Church, Louisburg, with Pastor Martin Pinnell officiating. Ronnie has requested a private ceremony for the spreading of his ashes with immediate family.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Willie Fergerson and Hazel Medlin Beck. He retired in 2007 from Carneal Downey Construction Company with 23 years of service prior to working for Hi-Cone Inc. of Zebulon for 16 years.

Surviving: wife, Judith Reid Fergerson; daughter, Angelia Fergerson Parrish (Steve) of Youngsville; sons, Ronnie Bradford Fergerson (Donna) of Zebulon and Terry Scott Strickland (Sheila) of Louisburg; five grandchildren; and two great-grandsons; sister, Jean Temple (Richard) of Raleigh; brother, W. H. Fergerson (Hattie "Pete") of Wake Forest.

Ronnie was predeceased by his mother, Hazel Medlin Beck; sister, Melrose Fergerson Perry; and former wife, Rachel Creech Fergerson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary's Cross Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1807 NC 98 Hwy. W, Louisburg, NC 27549.
