RALEIGH--Helen Lancaster, 93, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in Raleigh. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on June 2 at Liberty Christian Church, (Epsom Community)Henderson.
She was born July 3, 1924 in Louisburg, the daughter of Sidney Bunyan Foster and Estelle Eaves Foster. Helen attended Epsom High and McClung's Business College. She worked for Jenkins Oil Company in Henderson as a bookkeeper for most of her career.
Surviving: daughters, Gwen Vass (Lee Harrison) of Raleigh and Sharon Daniels of Suffolk, Va; sisters, Uldine Duckwork (Lewis) of Greensboro and Ann Bartholomew (R.A.) of Henderson; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Edward, she was predeceased by her son, Wayne Lancaster; two brothers, Ben Foster (Giz) and Harold Foster (Daphene); and one sister, Hilda Moore (Fred).
