SHIRLEY J. WILSON

MEREDIAN, MS--Funeral services for Shirley J. Wilson will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jim Gordon and Reverend Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilson, age 69, of Meridian, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at Rush Hospital.

Originally from Franklinton, NC, she met and married Larry in 1969 and they moved to Meridian in 1973. Shirley was the matriarch of the family. She loved the Lord, her family, friends, and the church. She was adored by her grandchildren. She will be remembered for many things, especially her cooking. Shirley will be dearly missed by many.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Larry Wilson; daughters, Lisa Mabry-Culbreth (Ernie), Deanna Smith (Eric); son, Michael Wilson (Holly); grandchildren, Eli Mabry, Macy Culbreth, Wesley Culbreth, Natalie Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Wilson Smith, and Grey Smith; sisters, Betty Wicker (Donnie) of Knightdale, NC, Dorothy Garrett (Dwight) of Franklinton, NC, Donna Bethune (Tim) of Bunnlevel, NC; special family friend, Dillard Hart of Youngsville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Aileen Wheeler Jeffers; father, Silas Jeffers; Stepmother, Mary Jeffers; and very special family friend, Minnie Grey Hart.
