LORENA YEARGIN CONYERS

FRANKLINTON--Lorena Yeargin Conyers, 87, of Franklinton, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at her home. She was born on December 5, 1930 to the late Oscar and Geneva Moss Yeargin. In addition to her parents, Lorena was preceded in death by her sisters, Ramona Byrd and Yvonne Bourner; and her husband of 66 years, James Howard Conyers.

Lorena was a member of Popes Chapel Christian Church, where she played the piano for over 40 years. Lorena was a great cook and seamstress; she and Howard loved to travel. Lorena loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Lorena is survived by her daughter, Jane Martin (Glenn); granddaughter, Elizabeth Gates (Harrison), and grandson, William Martin; great-granddaughter, Margaret.

The family will receive friends at Popes Chapel Christian Church from 3 PM to 3:45 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, where a funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, with Rev. Don Ward and Rev. Anita James-Carnes officiating.
