GWENDOLYN C. ADCOCK

OXFORD--Gwendolyn C. Adcock, 75, died Saturday, June 15, 2019. Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 18, at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Tim Atkinson and the Rev. William Wheeler. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery.

The daughter of the late James Earl Knott and Mary Elizabeth Brooks Knott, she was born in Granville County. She was owner and operator of Adcock's Machine and Welding in Berea.

Surviving: her sons, Kenneth R. Cox (Patsy) and David A. Adcock (Cindy); brother, James "Butch" Knott (Pat); her sister, Deborah K. Seate (Alvin); and one granddaughter.

She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Roy Lee Cox; and her second husband, O. Allen Adcock.

Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, the Granville County Shrine Club or to Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Adcock family is being served by Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home, Oxford.
