FRANKLINTON--Bessie Fuller Evans, 90, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2019 at Brantwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 8, at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home, Oxford. A funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. at Popes Chapel Christian Church, 1237 Pocomoke Drive, Franklinton, officiated by the Rev. Don Ward. Family will receive guests at other times at Jean's home.

She was the daughter of the late Grady Fuller and Eunice Hayes Fuller. She was born in Franklin County.

Surviving: daughter, Jean Boone (Steve) of Butner; her brother, John E. Fuller; sister, Lucy B. Fuller; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Lee; her sons, William David Evans and Barry Lee Evans; and three siblings.

Flowers are welcomed or memorials may be made in her honor to Pope's Chapel Christian Church, Attn: Peggy Moore, 1491 Gordon Moore Road, Franklinton, NC 27525.
