HENDERSON--Betsy Coker Eaves, 90, of Henderson, NC died Monday, August 26, 2019 at her home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Thomas Coker Sr. and Mable Claire Welch Coker. She was the widow of Carlton Gill Eaves.

Mrs. Eaves was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. Caroline Allen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving are a daughter, Lisa E. Clifton (Avery); three sons, Glenn Eaves (Alexis), James Eaves (Kelly), and Tom Eaves (Betty); a sister, Jo Coker Taylor; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and a special family friend, Peggy Eaves. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mable Ayscue and Jean Allen, and two brothers, Joseph Coker Jr. and Cecil Coker.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Renn, Randy Kearney, Charles Hilliard Jr., Mike Eaves, Tony Eaves, and Jeffrey Edwards.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. All other times, they will be at her home.

The family wishes to give a "Special Thank You" to Mrs. Eaves' caregivers, Betha Crews, Carole Newton, Brenda Gupton, Betty Jean Adams and Holly Hazelton, for their love and kindness given to Mrs. Eaves and her family.

Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association Eastern North Carolina Chapter, 5171 Glenwood Ave., Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27612.
