"TONY" ANTHONY C. COLEY

LOUISBURG - Anthony "Tony" Clayton Coley, 43, passed away on August 17, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at Duke University Hospital, after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Lacy, of 12 years; daughters, Makenna and Reagan; mother and stepfather, Donna and Jimmy Burnette; father and stepmother, Snookie and Deborah Coley; brother, Clayton Coley; sister, Dana Bassett (Rob); niece Madelyn Bassett; nephew, Ayden Bassett; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and in-laws.

A service was held by Strickland's Funeral Home & Crematory in Louisburg on August 19, 2019, and a private burial followed at Lancaster's Memorial Park in Louisburg.

Tony was a dedicated nurse most of his career, spending many shifts mentoring new nurses. He later furthered his degree through UNC Charlotte and worked for WakeMed's Information Services Department. Tony's free time was spent with family on the water, whether at Atlantic Beach, or his favorite family place at Lake Gaston. He is remembered for his love of any new technology, music, and for how much he adored his girls.

Tony's family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks for all the love and support members of the community have shown. A special thanks to Tony's WakeMed family.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting contributions to: "The Makenna and Reagan Coley Education Fund" at PO Box 55, Louisburg, NC 27549.
