LOUISBURG - Carl Edward "Ed" Shearin Jr., 64, died Saturday morning, Dec. 7, 2019. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Wood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl E. Shearin Sr. and Martha Denton Shearin.
Ed worked for WYRN Radio Station in Louisburg for 30 years and then went on to be the Program Director for Franklin County Keep America Beautiful until his retirement.
Ed is survived by his son, Nick Shearin and his fiancé, Cassie Hazel; brother, Jon Shearin; sister, Carla (Edward) Thompson; two nieces and two nephews; five great-nieces and nephews.
