PANSY SWANSON OVERTON

WILMINGTON - Pansy Swanson Overton, 72, of Wilmington died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at her home. She was born November 13th, 1934 to the late Clinton and Hattie Swanson.

She is survived by her husband Roy; daughters, Carolyn Estep and husband Jack, Patti Hawkins and husband Gary; granddaughters, Jamie and Erin Hawkins. Also survived by three sisters, Faye Layton, Jennie Layton and Shelby Bunn, along with many special nieces and nephews.

Pansy enjoyed life to the fullest; never complaining, always hopeful, full of enthusiasm. Her love and compassion for others will carry on for many years.

A funeral service was held at 4 pm Friday, August 3, 2007, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, Wilmington.

The family received friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.

Interment and graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lancaster Memorial Park in Louisburg, NC.

Memorials may be made to Azalea Baptist Church, 5654 Carolina Beach Rd, Wilmington NC 28412.
