BARBARA BAKER ALFORD JONES

ZEBULON--Barbara was born on October 24, 1936, in Franklin County to Harold and Dorothy Baker Alford and peacefully departed on September 18, 2020. She graduated from Wakelon High School in Zebulon and attended Women's College of Greensboro. She was married for 52 years to the late Paul Winston Jones.

She is survived by her three daughters, Marcia Edwards (Bobby), Mary Ann Masterman (Ronald), and Dottie Jones; three grandchildren, Bryce Masterman, Emily Jones (John) and Paula Edwards; two great-grandsons, Owen and Weston Jones; in addition, siblings, James Alford (Vickie) and Nancy Perry; and sisters-in law, Ann Faison (Joe), Margaret Baucom, and Alice Jones; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed working as a secretary at Scottish Rite in Raleigh, spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, attending her church and being a member of the Lion's Park Seniors Club.

A graveside service was held at the Alford family cemetery on September 22, 2020.
